Chiropractic for Beginners
Your
body is made up of lots and lots of cells. TRILLIONS of cells. Each
cell does something different and those cells have a leader called
the BRAIN. The brain is constantly sending messages to all the cells
of you body to ORGANIZE and CONTROL them. The brain tells your heart
to beat and your toes to wiggle. Every message the brain sends and
receives goes through a big, thick wire that is in your back called
your spinal cord. You spinal cord is very important and is covered
in bones called your spine to protect it.
Just like a necklace that can get 'kinked' and tangled up, your
spine can too. This can happen from bumping your head, slipping,
falling, getting 'stressed out' or even sitting in front of the
computer too long. Chiropractors call these 'kinks' in your spine
SUBLUXATIONS. Subluxations can irritate nerves. Subluxations make
it hard for your brain to talk to the rest of your body. That's
when you can get sick or feel not good. Subluxations Are Bad!! The
only way to find out if you have a subluxation is to visit your
chiropractor. They know how to find subluxations and make them go
away.
Chiro Kids Day!
In March
we had our annual Chiro-Kids day. Over 30 kids came, aged 3 to 11
years old. We had a great time! We talked about the amazing human
body and how to be as healthy as possible! We learnt about the central
nervous system, posture, nutrition, exercize and the importance
of a good night's sleep! "Nick the magician" dazzled us
with his magic show and his pet "Rocky" the raccoon. Here
are some pictures from our special day!
